One Sunday morning a few weeks ago, I stumbled out of my house towards Walgreens for some much needed G2 Grape Gatorade.  Upon exiting the Walgreens, I saw a poster propped up against a tree.  It said “Expose Yourself to Art” and had a picture of a dude flashing a statue.  (See pic).  I thought that this was one of the most hilarious things I had ever seen.  While no one was standing by the poster guarding it, I figured some rando art person had put it there to inspire the community.  Not being one to rain on someone’s culture parade, I laughed, left the poster where it was and continued my walk back home, chugging the delicious Gatorade.

I was about halfway down the block when this exposeyourselftoartold lady walked past me rather hastily.  I recognized her as being another patron in Walgreens moments ago.  In her hand was a folded cardboard sign.  It was folded haphazardly so I was able to recognize it as the exposure to art poster.  She seemed in a bit of a rage and I was curious to know what she was going to do with the poster; she certainly did not seem like the owner of it.

So I walked a little slower and watched her continue down the street.  About a half a block before I had to turn down my street, I watched with horror as she threw the sign into a nearby construction dumpster.  After waiting for this crazy lady to turn the block, I crossed the street and retrieved the poster from the dumpster, happily amazed that I was now the proud owner of this sign.

I assume that the lady was somehow offended by the sign, which is lame, but without her being offended, I never would have been able to obtain the sign.  It would have sat there under that tree and I never would have known what became of it.  Instead, after a little tape job (thanks to that lady’s reckless handling of the sign), I am now able to proudly display this poster in my home!

Trivia Tuesday’s

Warning: array_key_exists() expects parameter 2 to be array, boolean given in /home1/es7400/public_html/wp-content/plugins/reaction-buttons/reaction_buttons.php on line 54

Trivia is just another form of random shit, so you know I love it.  Useless knowledge can help you impress people, or win shots at a bar.  It’s win-win all around.  So try your hand at these questions… NO GOOGLING!!!  I’ll post the answers in the comments section later today…

1) What company is the largest toy distributor in the world?

2) What was the first U.S. city to host the Olympics?

3) Which book did Americans rate as their favorite– second to only the Bible– in 1900?

4) What was the first animal ever cloned?  (Bonus points– what was the animals name?)

5) Who said: “I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me?”

Search Terms

Warning: array_key_exists() expects parameter 2 to be array, boolean given in /home1/es7400/public_html/wp-content/plugins/reaction-buttons/reaction_buttons.php on line 54

On the page where I check the “stats” of my website (how many visits, visits per IP address, length of visits, etc.) there is a section where I can read search terms that trigger my site to come up in the results.  I always find this very interesting because there are some funny/odd things that people look up and I like having a little insight into how people search the internet.  I have not gone through all the search results to find what page of mine the term brings up because sometimes it could be like a million results later.  Others are more obvious.  Here are some of my favorite:

“Most people would steal if they thought they could get away with it.”  I remember that this was a question on numerous job applications that I filled out many moons ago.  It makes me nervous that this is probably one of the most popular search phrases that come up in my list.  Are people looking for the answer to this?  What is the purpose of googling this?

“Goldschlagger.”  This is another popular term.  It makes me happy that I am not the only one still interested in Schlagger!  This is also sometimes grouped with “College goldschlagger” or “Goldschlagger drunk” (don’t really know what these mean orthe results people are looking for).  But Schlagger is alive and well in places other than my life!

“Don’t need to be told what to do.”  I cannot imagine what post of mine this search phrase points to.  But again, why do people Google this?  Do they want Google to confirm that they don’t in fact need to be told what to do?

“Getting kicked out of Wrigley.”  It’s as if people want confirmation that this will or will not happen.  What are you really looking for when you search this?  Videos?  Maybe but they don’t televise fans getting kicked out so I doubt any video exists…  But I’m glad people keep trying!

I’ll Be Back

Ok, so my confuser is still with the Geek Squad.  The computer I got TWO months ago had a bunk hard-drive so I need a new one installed and all my data transferred over etc etc and it’s just annoy2k.  Obviously I have found a temporary solution thanks to the IT guy at my dad’s firm, but it’s not the same blogging from this one.  Plus I had all my truly awesome shit stored on my old comp.  So hopefully I will be getting it back soon.  In the meantime check out this legendary cartoon I have been trying to locate for years.  (Thank you Biggie!)  Also, if you know who Jais is, you will probably recognize this as he played it before almost every movie:
